Rice Paper Bacon

Rice Paper Bacon

  • Rice paper
  • 1/2 Cup of water
  • Pinch coarse sea salt
  • 1 table spoon soy sauce
  • 1 table spoon olive oil
  • 2 table spoons of tamari
  • 2 table spoons syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1/2 table spoon nutritional yeast



Lay the rice paper sheets on a baking tray covered with baking parchment and brush the rice paper sheets both sides, two at a time (top sheet and bottom sheet) with water.


Sprinkle the bottom sheet with course sea salt and lay the other sheet on top.


To make the marinade, mix together all of the other ingredients and stir. Then brush this mix onto the 2 ply rice paper, coating both sides.


Place in a pre heated over at 200c for 5-7 minutes then remove and allow to stand for at least 5 until crunchy.
