About Me

EpiVegan was first set up in March 2016 as an Instagram page to show that vegan food could be tasty, vibrant and desirable to vegans and non vegans alike. I quickly learned of the strong and welcoming vegan community on Instagram and continued to post new and exciting food pictures daily. I soon came to realise that this would not be enough and people were keen to get involved and try these dishes for themselves, and so, Epivegan youtube was born December 2016.

  • 5 spice πŸ”₯ burger πŸ” there’s a video coming for this burger but I want to share so here’s the recipe:

1cm thick block of firm tofu 
2 teaspoons of rice flour 
1 teaspoon of 5 spice 
1/2 a peach in 4 slices 
1/2 spring onion roughly chopped 
1 teaspoon vegan mayo 
2 teaspoons hoisin sauce 
1 slice of lime 
1 bun sliced
3 table spoons of vegetable oil 
Method: 
Heat the oil in the pan. Take your square of tofu and coat it in the rice flour and 5 spice. When the oil is smoking hot carefully place the tofu in the pan. Allow to go golden brown on each side and turn. Add the slices of peach in the pan and cook for 30 either side. Spread the base bun with mayo, place the tofu on top, add the slices of peach and spring onion on top and drizzle with hoisin sauce and lime juice. Sprinkle with salt, Place the bun on top enjoy! πŸ˜‹ #epivegan #whatveganseat #lovefood #bestofvegan
