Dark chocolate and cherry tartPrint Recipe
- Dark chocolate 200g
- Coconut oil melted 1/2 cup
- Coconut milk 200ml half a tin
- Natural vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Frozen pitted cherries 250g
- Water 1/3 cup
- Cocoa powder for dusting1 table spoon
Combine the dark chocolate, coconut oil, coconut milk and vanilla extract in a saucepan and apply low heat stirring occasionally.
Blend the cherries and water and add to a separate saucepan on a low heat stirring occasionally.
Once all of the dark chocolate has melted and the cherry mixture has thickened slightly, add the cherry mixture to the tart base, then the chocolate mixture and gently stir the two together.
Now allow the mixture to cool in a refrigerator for at least 1 hour before trimming the edges, removing from the tin and dusting with cocoa through a sieve.
